Oh yeah…a distant view of the San Francisco skyline.

This is part of downtown San Francisco on Market Street…one of the central streets in The City.

A view of downtown from the east bay.

The not-so-beautiful Oakland Bridge.

Ummm…I like this one. Check out those streaks in the sky.

This is from the Church of the Sojourners sunrise service on Easter Sunday.

Another shot of the city from the top of the hill where we had the sunrise service.

The city kinda reminds me of Jerusalem from this view.

Lovely.

After the sunrise service, Church of the Sojourners had a regular Easter service at the Florida House. Here is the community.

And then we had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard.

This is Tim Otto & me during the Easter egg hunt in the backyard. Tim has been with Church of the Sojourners for about 20 years…we had some good chat time.

This is the room that I stayed in while I was with the Lockie’s. They had a loft bed ready for me…yes!

The Lockies & me…(from left to right) Tim, Alexina, Matt, Jenny, & John David. I stayed with this family for the first 3 nights of my stay in San Francisco…they’re incredible.

And the silly photo. Who has the better monkey face…John David or me?

The Church of the Sojourner house that the Lockie’s live in. All of the Sojourner houses are located in the Mission District.

Charis…what do you think?

Wow…they’ve heard of Melissa’s wrestlin’ skillz in San Francisco…the legend continues…

I was very pleased to see this. My own book company.

There were about 500 bicyclers protesting something on Market Street on this particular afternoon. It was pretty wild.

Peters the Latvian & me. My old friend & I got to catch up & hang out for a bit at the Revolution Cafe in the Mission District.

My room for a few days at InnerCHANGE’s San Dimas house in the Mission District. Isn’t it tidy…

The outside of the San Dimas house.

A shot of Haight Street. This is a pretty famous location in San Francisco that attracts a large variety of visitors & locals. The Haight-Ashbury intersection was a center & symbol for the hippie movement in the 1960’s.

A classy store on Haight. This looks like a store where Kathy Keasler would shop…don’t you think?

Karl Digeress & me drinking some hot tea. Karl is the worship pastor at The City Church around downtown.

The Sunday morning worship service at The City Church.

This is the venue where The City Church holds its services. It’s a pretty cool location.

The Golden Gate Park. This is a shot of the hill where a lot of homeless people & gutter-punk kids hang out.

The Botanical Gardens in the Golden Gate Park. I really liked wandering around in the Gardens.

Botanical Gardens.

Botanical Gardens…can you believe that this is right in the middle of the city!

The outside of the de Jung Museum in Golden Gate Park. San Francisco has several world class museums.

Another part of Golden Gate Park. It made my flutter when I saw that the park had baseball diamonds.

A shot of some buildings in Chinatown.

Some markets & folk in Chinatown.

Another pic of Chinatown. This area is located towards the northwest of The City.

Brian, Adam Klein, and me. Adam is one the key leaders of ReImagine. Brian is Adam’s roommate…and he looks really tired in this picture.

Mark Scandrette & me. Mark is the leader of ReImagine & is an author/speaker.

A shot of Fisherman’s Warf.

Another view of the bay around Fisherman’s Warf & you can see the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

A closer view of Golden Gate Bridge.

A shot of the bay from Fisherman’s Warf. Beautiful.

The famous In-N-Out Burger…

This is what happens when an In-N-Out Burger comes in close contact to my mouth…
Looking at these pictures made me depressed…why can’t I move to a cool city like San Fran rather than the snow-covered, sub-zero temperature ridden, no sun shining city of Toronto? Matt!! Hurry up and start your church so I can come live with you there!!
Matt!!! I am super excited that your trip is going so well… I miss you like a fat kid on a diet misses cake! Can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back!
You look like you’re having so much fun!
I’m glad your trip is going well. I am secretly jealous of you traveling and me in the ‘co…still.
