This is a pic of the sanctuary at Ecclesia.

Another angle of the sanctuary of Ecclesia

This is a part of the santuary where people can participate in artistic expressions during a worship service.

A view of the sanctuary when it’s full.

Ecclesia from the outside.

And again…isn’t it a nice lil patio?

Jeremy McCasland & me on the patio…Jeremy is the Community Pastor at Ecclesia.

Ecclesia The Woodlands in a movie theather in The Woodlands. This is before worship.

And again…

Ecclesia The Woodlands uses the concession area of the theater for their children’s activities.

This is one of the signs leading people into worship at Ecclesia The Woodlands. Isn’t it pretty?

Part of the children’s area at Ecclesia The Woodlands. This is the art area…very innovative.

Another part of the children’s area.

The other sign…these signs were in the concession area before the people walked into the theater.

The info table outside the theater.

Ian Uriarte & me…Ian has been a big part of Ecclesia for the past 7 years & just recently stepped down from serving as the Executive Pastor.

This is an old Jewish cemetary close to the church. I know this might be a bit weird to some, but I used this as a place to get alone & think, read, pray, & reflect. It’s an excellent spot.

The Yartym’s & me…Matt is one of my closest friends from high school. It was great getting to meet up with him & his bride Mallory for some Houston bbq.

Robbie Seay & me…Robbie leads worship at Ecclesia. We had a good time eating some funky Chinese food.

Robbie sends Heist his love…
Niiiice pictures. Crazy girl in that one picture for Keas….yikes! Looking forward to your thoughts on the rest of the time. You didn’t mention anything about the emu burgers though….disappointing.
“Where in the world is Matt Alexander?” You’re like Carmen Sandiago, except cooler. I love you and I particularly like the art for the stations of the cross. See you soon, MJ
Great Pics – I forgot to recommend a book to you. It may already be on your list. It has been around for awhile. It is entitled “Revolution” by George Barna. Check it out. I think you will identify with it. As a boomer and traditionalist I found it a little hard to swallow, but I think it is an honest and truthful account of today’s new church. I’m trying to learn and find ways to incorparate new ideas into our youth ministry. You’re the best!
Matt,
thanks so much for the updates and the journal…I am learning from your experience…look forward to “streching myself” through your travels.
I just got back from Ethiopia and it was amazing…we were able to minister to 700 kids…my world was rocked…
Blessings to you as God rocks your world…kk
